Meet Dr. Eric V

Dr. Eric V., DC, NCEOP, TCMP, CRP, CAHP

I have spent over 30 years specializing in protein isolate–based nutrient therapy for tissue repair and regeneration. My work has been recognized with numerous awards for scientific advancement in the field of nutritional medicine.

Through my research and clinical experience, I have identified that many fatalities following falls are linked to undiagnosed connective tissue failure disease — a widespread yet rarely discussed condition affecting people across North America and around the world.

When individuals with weakened connective tissues experience a fall, arterial damage—particularly around the knees, elbows, and head—can result in internal bleeding. This often leads to anemia (low red blood cell count), which in turn causes progressive organ failure due to oxygen deprivation in vital organs, including the heart and brain.

To address this, I have developed a non-surgical, nutrient-based supplement protocol that has helped many patients restore tissue integrity and prevent further complications. My methods are safe, effective, and free from drug or surgical side effects.

I currently operate two Minnesota State–authorized healthcare practices under Evolution Health Sciences, where we focus on advanced nutrient procedures for organ failure and degenerative disease, as well as Evolution Diet, our line of organic, non-GMO pet nutrition.

Thicker Shinier Fur!

Dove

I bought the sample pack out of curiosity, after reading tons about cat nutrition, and because I love all animals. My cat DOVE into the kibble and just loved it. I am still slowly weaning him off his meat wet, but it's about a can a month, as he loves the gourmet evolution wet (about half a cup or more) mixed with a table spoon of his old cat food (I section and freeze it, so a can lasts for a month) and I mix it all up with some water, which is good for preventing/dissolving crystals, which cats are prone to. His PH is 6.5 (I get it tested regularly. I get a sample and take it in so he doesn't have the stress of going to the vet). His weight is healthy. There are zero crystals in his urine. He still prefers his kibble before his meat mixture, and eventually, he may eat completely vegan, if his health remains intact, as it is now. I"m just slowly decreasing the amount of meat I add. Going to a tea spoon next month. Also, his fur literally thickened and got more shiny when he started evolution. I think it's just the good nutrition and taurine they put in it. His poos are healthy too. Delivery was efficient and on time, and they always include some nutritional yeast which is nice... I sometimes sprinkle a little on wet (he loves it). Also, I give him the covered cranberries for treats (good for PH/preventing crystals) and/or one or two on top of his kibble (and he loves those too). All around a really good experience! I would suggest weaning your cat slowly off of whatever food they are on for better success, and definitely add water to help them get more hydration! I figure even cutting his meat consumption way back is better than nothing and the goal is to not buy dead animals at all one day. Of course I'm fully vegan and fully healthy. I run half marathons etc... But so far kitty is even healthier with this food added and now his primary food, so I do intend to continue on this regime.

Just The Right Nutrition

Cassidy B.

Marley is my 8 year old three-legged boxer. When he was 7 he developed a large tumour in his front paw which led to the amputation. He was always fed on raw Mountain Dog Food, however around 4 months post surgery he started having digestional problems, and was losing weight very rapidly. Multiple trips to the vet and thousands of dollars later they discovered that he has a severe vitamin B12 deficiency. I started cooking his dog food, a recipe that included mainly porc, potatoes and supplements. This seemed to work well for the time being, however just a few months ago it started acting up again. I tried feeding him porc exclusively, which showed no improvement, and then just potatoes, to see if he was intolerant to the food. Potatoes seemed to calm his stomach, and then I tried pure rice for a few days which really did the trick. I asked my vet if i should change recipes, however she encouraged me to slowly reintroduce his old diet back into his system. Within 2 days he was back to and upset stomach, which is what prompted me to try vegan food. I found this website and thought that I had nothing to lose. I received my bag, and within 2 days of feeding the Maximum Life Evolution food his stomach was completely fine. I’m on my third 40 lbs bag and everything is going perfectly! 🙂 love love love this food!!!

Perfect Tests For A Healthy Dog

Pierre P.

I decided to do some research and found out that there were many dogs thriving on a plant-based diet. I enquired about a number of plant-based brands before deciding to go with the offerings from Evolution. Aura started eating the Gourmet Fondue line from Evolution and now eats their Max Life line. She loved the first one and now loves the second one. She is doing great from what we can see and our vet seconds our observation. Blood tests etc. all point to a very healthy dog. Given that she eats between 275 to 300 lbs of this dry plant-based kibble a year plus other veggies and fruits like broccoli, carrots, apples, rutabaga, etc. we figure that over her anticipated lifespan of 7-10 more years that she will have not consumed anywhere from 2000 to 3000 lbs of meat and meat by-products.

Excellent Customer Service, Thriving Pup

Eric F.

I was searching the internet for vegan dog food available in Canada and i found Evolution Diet. I immediately make a purchase of the taster pack, which my dog went crazy of it all. My Pomeranian is usually quite picky on dry food, we use Evolution Diet Gourmet fondue and she loves it. When she don't feel like having dry food we just mix it with nutritional yeast and hot water. She is crazy about the cranberries and the sweet potatoes but her ultimate feast is the canned Evolution Fortified food. Evolution Diet provides exceptional customer service, i often receive messages from them about discount and feedback. Me and my wife turned Vegan this year for ethic reasons and we have discovered that we are in better shape than we have ever been in our entire life. Then we realized what our dog was really eating in her pet shop food, we had to put a stop to it. Our dog is more playful, she burst with energy, she smells and look better!

"Sensitive Stomach" Gone In 6 Weeks

L.K.

After going vegan last July, I decided to rescue a dog and so Alice arrived to live with me in November. Her rescue organization informed me that she had a 'sensitive stomach' and needed a specific brand of food from a chain pet store. For moral and ethical reasons, I couldn't fathom supporting the slaughter of animals to feed my companion (or for any reason). And so began my research into feeding my companion a vegan diet. This led me to Evolution Diet, and I purchased Evolution max life food. Alice LOVES her new plant-based food and her stomach issues (diarrhea) have disappeared after only 6 weeks on the new diet. The customer service is great... I had chosen a shipping method to have the food arrive faster and they called to let me know that due to me ordering on a Friday, it would not make a difference between the regular shipping option and the expedited so they refunded me the difference (many other companies would not have bothered to do this so my first impression of this company was a good one!). I just received my second order of a 20lb bag which should last 6 months or so. It's great to have it come right to my door!

Active and Happy Life

Josiane L.

My beautiful dog Lulu will be 13 years old in a few months. She is full of life and energy. People who meet her think she's a young dog and are usually surprised to learn how old she is. I credit her diet which is primarily plant-based. She is trim and active and is living a happy life. She loves her Gourmet Maximum Life kibble. I have to also talk about the delivery service, as it is amazing. My last delivery I emailed to say I was out for part of the day, and I got a reply straight away asking where the delivery could be left if I wasn't home. Plus, I got a text message to confirm. That is great service and it makes it a lot easier to be a loyal customer.

They Thrive Together — Naturally.

Phillip R.

Ahavah, my Husky, has been vegan since she was just 8 weeks old and will turn 4 this February. Finding the right food for her wasn’t easy — her first adult foods caused health issues, and she never seemed excited to eat. But since we switched to Evolution Diet Ultra Life, she brings me her bowl at mealtime! She absolutely loves it.

Zarah, my cat, joined our family when she was three. She transitioned to a plant-based diet under our vet’s supervision in December 2023 and has had perfect blood work — some markers have even improved. Since switching to Evolution Diet Ultra Life, her coat shines more than ever, and her energy is steady and happy.

Seeing how healthy and joyful they are on this food gives me so much peace of mind — and I genuinely look forward to watching them thrive for many, many years to come. Knowing that Evolution Diet has been part of university research showing longer life expectancy in cats and dogs gives me real confidence that Ahavah and Zarah have a long, healthy future ahead.

Both of them are thriving — active, affectionate, and truly best friends who love their food. I’m so grateful to Evolution Diet for giving them the nutrition they deserve — vegan, organic, and non-GMO.

Healthy Tummies All Around

Anja P.

For well over a year now, I’ve been feeding Evolution Diet kibble, as well as a home-cooked diet consisting mainly of well-mashed chickpeas, some green and orange vegetables, smaller amounts of whole grains and fats. Though I don’t believe that a well-balanced plant-based diet offers by default superior health outcomes compared to a well-balanced meat-based diet, one of my dogs’ regular gastro-intestinal upsets has improved to the point of near non-existence since eating an all-plant-based diet. The same is true for another dog’s previous chronic ear infections.

Love At First Bite!

Sharon N.

Gérard is our eight year-old furry feline who has been vegan for seven years. We began having trouble accessing his previous vegan food due to low supply in our area, so I was beyond excited to find the Evolution Diet website with many other vegan cat foods available. After ordering the sample pack a few months ago, Gérard immediately LOVED the Evolution food and has been happily thriving on this diet ever since!

Thriving Since A Pup

Ann W.

I almost didn't get another dog because of the guilt I felt about the farm animals suffering to feed pets. And then there’s the growing-anxiety, will he thrive on a vegan diet? And vegan food for young dogs is almost non-existent, very hard to find, and it had to be local and non-gmo. The wonderful people at Evolution Diet helped me see the TWO options for growth in dry food and a canned food as well. Vince loves the Maximum Life and the Evolution canned food. And he's gained 7lbs this month, right on track! I’m thrilled and he's going to be the vegan poster dog in my obedience club.

Better Life, I Haven't Looked Back

Jackie F.

My husband and I have been vegan for a few years, and we often talked about vegan cat food, but didn’t have enough health information, nor could we find a place online that had decent S&H prices and was a Canadian supplier. Eventually, we came across the Evolution Diet site, the prices were in our range, and they had some great nutritional info. After doing a bit more research of my own, we decided to try out the Evolution Diet with our three cats. We took a couple of weeks to transition them to the new food and haven’t looked back; it’s been a huge blessing. We used to feed them three small meals a day, and they always seemed like they were starving, but if I gave them more, they would gain weight. With the new food, I feed them twice a day, and sometimes they even leave some kibble in their bowls. One of my cats, on the old food (which was a high-quality, vet brand), would eat so fast and every couple of days he would throw up, so before the switch, I was feeding him by hand to slow him down. On the new food, he’s gotten sick maybe two or three times in six months (and he eats on his own). I would also say all of their coats are nicer, and they get along better. They all had their annual physicals in April and May, and they all came away with a clean bill of health.
